Spiker is a prominent enemy that appears throughout the Klonoa series. It first appeared as an enemy guard robot in Wagyan Paradise, another game by Namco.[1]

Profile[]

They are spiked, spinning, floating creatures that are immune to all attacks. Their only weakness is their weight, which allows them to be weighed down by a box.

In Klonoa: Door to Phantomile they had green circular eyes and two floating orbs circling around them diagonally, in Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil the eyes were changed to red, semicircular ones and the orbs were removed. In the Wii remake of Door to Phantomile, they reused the Lunatea's Veil model and the eyes remained semicircular, but changed back to green and the orbs were reinstated.

Klonoa Heroes Bestiary[]

“A strange object with spikes. Nobody knows if it's a Phantom Beast or artificial. Joka may have set it up. Normal attacks won't work on it, so use Special Moves! It also launches a curse attack.”
    —Spiker LV1
“A blue Spiker with harder, sharper spikes. Only Special Moves work on this steel body. It's said that if you touch it, you'll be cursed. It's also a strategy to take it easy and avoid it.”
    —Spiker LV2
“The red body is made of the same special steel as the Garlen Mecha's body. Like other Spikers, it's very hard. It also has a curse attack. Only Special Moves work!”
    —Spiker LV3
